The 2022 World Athletics Championships are underway in Eugene, Oregon and Duluth has a presence in the Lightspeed Lift.

"I think we were the first equipment installed in Hayward Field," president Malcolm Macaulay said. "Got to step on the field itself before anyone had run on it. It’s fun now to watch it on TV, see the athletes going and know that they’re walking by our systems, a lot of them are using our systems for warmups.

Through Sunday, July 24th the top track and field athletes in the world will be hopping on the Duluth company’s revolutionary anti-gravity treadmill support system.

"What Lightspeed Lift does is [it] lifts the load off, so we take off 25 pounds which reduces that impact force substantially," Macaulay explained. "They’re able to get that final tune up, step out onto the track and have all the speed in their legs without the breakdown."

In more exciting news Lightspeed Lift is expanding to a new country. This week they took on their biggest international order to date to Australia.

"We ran into a physio from Australia," Macaulay shared following the National Athletic Trainers show. "He stepped out and said I know that this could help high level athletes in Australia, pro clubs, those crazy Australian football people. They have a really strong triathlete group there, so they ordered 20 of them."

Lightspeed Lift also has a movement center in Duluth that is open to the public off and they encourage people to check out the equipment for rehabilitation, speed training, or anything in-between.
